I grew up in the West Lancashire village of Scarisbrick and began painting wildlife and animals about 20 years ago.
Animals have always been important part of my life and have underpinned my work as an artist from the beginning. Capturing the personality and nuances of my subject allows me to develop a relationship with the character I’m painting and is key in enabling me to produce the highly detailed work that my practice demands.
After graduating with a degree in Fine Art in 2009 I am currently studying a Masters degree in Fine Art at Liverpool John Moores University.
I work in a variety of mediums including chalk pastel, oil and acrylic paint.
